Let the Linky Parties Commence!
Welcome to the Creative Play page!
I’m Candace J – your Creative Play Muse!
It’s my job to help you reignite your creative flame and give you a creative boost How will I do that?
With Linky Parties! Woo hoo!
What’s that? It’s an easy and very cool way to get your work seen! When ever you have a post that matches the Linky Party theme you can put a link on our Linky Party page that will take viewers right to your post! Invite your friends to vote for your link! The more likes you have, the higher your link will be on the list! No extra work for you and lots of exposure!
There will be a new Linky Party theme each week to help inspire creative action.
The work can be created in ANY single or mixed media, including food, photo compositions and prose (you could submit a Haiku representation of the theme!) and, though it may be inspired by, or done in the style of another artist, must be original. You can also submit an older project that you haven’t submitted here.
Your interpretation of the theme could be sewn, drawn, painted, sculpted, beaded, acted out and videoed, arranged and photographed, knitted, felted, baked, assembled from balloons, recycled things, found objects, food, your hair, people, clothing, wood, sand…you get the idea.
Creative Community Blog
Alternately – You can share any thing/project/inspiration with me at any time and I’ll feature it in the Creative Community Blog!
The best part of my job is featuring and promoting you! Simply email me with your story and high resolution photo(s) – email@example.com
Recycled and upcycled projects are near and dear to our hearts, so when you link up a project for a weekly Linky Party theme
and that project is GREEN, I’ll send you something handmade from my studio!
Also… IF you submit 4 projects to share in our Creative Community Blog and at least 2 of them are GREEN, I’ll send you handmade swag!
Stay crafty, my friends!

January 1, 2011 – Creative Play January 2011 Theme Announced!
Announcing the Cool2Craft Creative Play theme for January 2011 – Drum roll please! Try it! You’ll like it!
That’s right, it’s time to try something new! What media have you been thinking of trying, but just haven’t gotten around to it? Now is the time. Try something new and then share it with us!
These are a few of my first tries. My first wire jewelry, my first needle felted piece and my first Aleene’s Burnt Brown Bag project. I’m leaning toward trying some of Linda Peterson’s Friendly Plastic projects…and EcoHeidi’s recycle projects…and maybe one of Tiffany Windsor’s box ideas! Hmm. Much to think about! What are you thinking about trying?
I hope you’ll play along with us and try it. You’ll like it!
December Creative Play – The Cool2Craft Creative Play theme for December is “Give Yourself a Gift.” You give to everyone else during the
holidays and all year long. Time to give yourself a treat! Make something, go somewhere, do something that’s just for you and photograph it! Then share it with us – post it on the Cool2craft Creative Play blog on the Hive. Anything goes!
I’m going to run with this theme and craft everyday in December. I’ll be posting tutorials and videos as well as making some kits available at the Marketplace. Join me on Cool2Craft for 31 days of blissful, healing, creative play and give yourself the gift of play, too!
