December Creative Play: Day 11 Coffee Cup Bracelet by Candace Jedrowicz

December Creative Play day 11 Coffee Cup Bracelet by Candace Jedrowicz - 10
The Cool2Craft Creative Play theme for December is “Give Yourself a Gift.” You give to everyone else during the holidays and all year long. Time to give yourself a treat! Make something, go somewhere, do something that’s just for you and photograph it! Then share it with us – post it on the Cool2Craft Creative Play blog on the Hive. Anything goes! I’m going to run with this theme and craft every day in December. I’ll be posting tutorials and videos as well as making some kits available at the Marketplace. Join me on Cool2Craft for 31 days of blissful, healing, creative play and give yourself the gift of play, too! [Candace J.]

Coffee time is one of my favorite rituals.  We go as often as we can to relax and sip a good cup.  Right now Starbucks has holiday patterned coffee coffee cups and they’re delightful.  I decided to make a bracelet using pieces of the lovely paper.  To make this bracelet you will need:

Paper from anywhere you want – You could use bits of maps, tickets or anything that has a special meaning to you.  This makes an awesome souvenir bracelet!
A punch in whatever shape and size you like
Sticky laminating sheets
Small punch
Fancy edged scissors
Glitter glue, (of course!) and gems
A base for the bracelet – I used a stretchy ribbon from a box of chocolates.
Wire and jewelry tools
I used a 1 3/4″ round punch for my charms, but you can use anything that pleases you!
Maneuver the punch to get the details you want for your pieces.
Laminate your pieces to protect them and make them durable.
Punch the holes that will be used to attach the pieces to your bracelet.  Use shaped craft scissors to make interesting edges for your pieces, or freehand them.  Leave a small amount of laminate around the edges.  You can add glitter glue to edges as well.
I added glitter glue and gems to the back.
Gather your jewelry tools and wire.  I used a 20 gauge gold colored wire.
Make a jump ring that goes around twice.  Now thread it through the ribbon, or whatever you’re using for your base and thread it through the pieces.
I LOVE how it came out!  I hope you love yours as well and post a photo! I’m going to wear mine when I go out for coffee!
