I thrive on color! When I see the sunset turn our mountains pink, I breathe that magic in. So, this is my color challenged bed. Now, we could get a new bedspread, but we have a 16 year old mini poodle and the smack dab center of that bed is his. We won’t be getting a nice new one until he decides to leave us, bless his heart.
Color Jazzed Pillows by Candace Jedrowicz
| For this project, I used:
1 Yard of fabulous fleece My three pillows, two square, one rectangle Purple thread and fine needle My old Singer sewing machine Buttons from my grandma’s collection |

This was so easy, I did in one afternoon!
I measured all the way around one pillow and one side going the opposite direction. |

I added ten inches to the all-the-way-around measurement to make a flap to fold over. |
 |
I folded the rectangle one whole length of the pillow and overlapped the rest and sewed a seam down both sides rounding the corners. Then I trimmed the seams. |

Now, this is why I love fleece! You don’t have to hem the edges! To decorate the rectangle pillow, I cut flowers from the extra fabric that, by the way, needed no hemming =0) and layered them on the pillow cover and stitched them on. |

Last, I sewed buttons into the centers of the layered flowers |

I gave myself the gift of brilliant color. What could be better? |
