Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop: Week 2 – Intention Box by Tiffany Windsor

Intention Box by Tiffany WindsorWelcome to Week 2 of the Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop. Can I just say that I am in LOVE with Karen Burniston’s 3D Twist Cube! I wasn’t so sure when I started this challenge because I was totally challenged with the assembly – my mind was trying to over-complicate it rather than just grasping how easy it was to assemble! Now I want to create dozens!

One of the challenging but totally fun parts of each week’s Triple Play challenge is that we get one shot at the design because the die cuts are pre-cut for us. So, I just grabbed some black and white scrapbook paper and started adhering pieces to the die cuts and assembled the cube. Then I just spent days having fun opening and closing it but with the Blog Hop deadline looming, I had to sit down and get serious about this design. (You can find some cool in-action pop-up photos on Karen’s blog.)

Traditional scrapbooking and papercrafting are not part of my design repertoire but I thought it would be fun to display the cube on my desk as a reminder to embrace the day! Enough with this work already — it’s time to dream and play!Intention Box by Tiffany Windsor

The cube is made with Karen Burniston’s 3D Twist cube die, and Black Cardstock from Die Cuts with a View. I added flat backed marbles as feet for my art box and adhered a hand-inked Cool2Cast Tile to the top.  For the lettering, I adhered metallic origami paper to lightweight cardboard and cut the letters with my Sizzix Big Shot.  I wanted the option to change out the words so I adhered the letters with Aleene’s Tack It Over and Over.Intention Box by Tiffany Windsor
