Materials

Thin aluminum

Scissors capable of cutting through the aluminum

Pencil

Hot glue

Rhinestone

Alcohol ink

Alcohol ink applicator

Metal findings (old watch parts)

Snapshot 5 300x168 Steampunk Floral Brooch by Samantha Star 1. Trace a flower onto thin aluminum.
Snapshot 6 300x168 Steampunk Floral Brooch by Samantha Star 2. Cut around pattern with scissors.
Snapshot 7 300x168 Steampunk Floral Brooch by Samantha Star 3. Cut out a teardrop shape to use as a leaf.

Snapshot 11 300x168 Steampunk Floral Brooch by Samantha Star 5. Using pliers, roll up the edges of the flower. This will reveal the backside of the metal which is not inked. Ink if desired.
Snapshot 13 300x168 Steampunk Floral Brooch by Samantha Star 6. Apply hot glue to the leaf and glue it onto the flower. Use your pliers to roll up the edge of the leaf.
Snapshot 15 300x168 Steampunk Floral Brooch by Samantha Star 7. Glue a rhinestone to the center of the flower with hot glue. Apply hot glue to the leaf and glue on metal findings.
