Candace the Muse is so taken with the enchanting robot sculptures of HerArtSheLoves! This week of reporting on her robots has been delightful!
Here’s what HerArtSheLoves had to say about Aqua Albert:
“Aqua Albert, a photo holder. I set out to make a robot in a pale blue with a light rustic finish. Not to Gothic, not too worn. Friendly eyes. I believe him to be one of the best, if not the best textured robot I’ve made. I’m so proud of how the paint came together to make a happy, rustic robot.”
| Here is what HerArtSheLoves told me about herself:
“Part digital illustrator, part sculptor, pure geek. I make robots, the decorative kind that like to stand around, not the skynet kind. I’ve worked online for others in other forms for years, I finally had the chance to work and create entirely for myself. I began working with clay as a child when my mother bought me polymer clay and let make whatever I want. In recent years I incorporated spun wire into little coils and textured paint techniques. Each robot is handmade with polymer clay, is shaped into robotic goodness, beads added for eyes and wire woven into springs to make the neck, arms and legs. After baking, multiple coats of varnish are brushed on for protection and shiny delight.” |
Shiny delight indeed! I can’t get enough of that sweet robot-y goodness! You can find HerArtSheLoves here:
