Watch Savannah’s How to Make Your Own Red Fuzzy Heels video tutorial!

Materials

High heels (color of your choice but nice to select a pair that matches with your fabric)
Fuzzy fabric (The fuzzy fabric used has a slight stretch to it — this is important to get a good fit on the shoe.)
Sandpaper – fine grade
Measuring tape
Aleene’s Fabric Fusion Peel & Stick Tape
Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue
Non-stick scissors

1. If your high heels have a slick surface, use sandpaper to lightly sand to roughen up the surface. (Note: on my heels, I did not sand the heels because I did not cover them with fabric.)

2. Measure along bottom outside edge. Add 3″ to measurement.

3. Measure from front toe to inside edge. Add 2″ to measurement. Cut two piece of fuzzy fabric to measurements.

4. To help fabric from fraying, apply line of Aleene’s Tacky Glue along outside edges. Let dry.

5. Cut Peel & Stick Tape into approximate 2″ lengths. Apply along top and bottom outside edges of shoe and along inside edge.

6. Peel off bottom release paper on outside edge of shoe. Lay edge of fabric along seam line in shoe pressing into sticky adhesive. Continue on other side of shoe until you have glued the fabric in place along the bottom edge.

7. Peel off top release paper on outside edge of shoe, gently pull fabric so that it is snug against the shoe and press into sticky adhesive along the top edge.

8. Cut away excess fabric to make a clean seam at the back of shoe.

9. Cut away excess fabric along the top edge leaving enough fabric (approximately 1/2″)  to pull inside the shoe and press into sticky adhesive.

10. Check all edges to be sure they are securely glued in place.  Repeat for second shoe.

Watch Savannah’s Giant Tissue Flowers YouTube video tutorial!

Materials

20″ x 30″ tissue paper (non bleeding tissue paper is the best – the cheaper tissue papers can quickly lose their colors when exposed to light) colors and patterns of your choice – you will need two sheets for each flower
Smooth sided pencil (or pen)
Scissors
Chenille stems (one for each flower)
Wire cutters
Optional: Aleene’s Tacky Dot Singles

1. Stack two pieces of tissue paper together and fold in half lengthwise.

2. Cut along folded edge.

3. Fold in half crosswise. Fold in half again and again until you have folded your tissue down to about 1″ wide. If needed, use smooth edge of pencil to get crisp folds and be sure to try to keep your edges aligned.

4. Open tissue back up and accordion fold (using folds as guide lines) from one end to the other.

5. Fold in half and secure at center with chenille stem.

6. Cut ends to point.

7. To make a fluffy flower, very carefully start to peel back each layer of tissue, pulling it to the center (where the chenille stem is). If you accidentally tear the tissue, don’t worry! Keep going.

8. Carefully fluff out all the tips of the flower petals.

9. If you want to attach your giant tissue flowers to the wall, cut chenille stem wire to approximately 2″ and fold back.

10. Apply several Tacky Dots to back of flower and attach to wall.

11. Or, leave the chenille stems in place and arrange your flowers in a vase.
